How To Apply

The Mackintosh Academy Boulder admissions process ensures that the school is an excellent fit for your learner. Through the admissions process, we get to know each child and their family. Together, we consider insights and seek to understand your child as a unique learner.

Want to learn more before applying? We encourage you to reach out to schedule a time to visit us.

STEP ONE

Campus Tour & Interview

The admissions process starts with a parent tour and meeting during which we explore your child’s needs, strengths, learning experiences, and your aspirations for him or her. This is an important first step to uncovering whether Mack Boulder is a good fit for your learner.

STEP TWO

Application

The full picture of your child is quintessential to the Mack Boulder admissions process. We consider a full range of evidence from abilities, aptitudes, and potential giftedness to curiosity, interests, and enthusiasm for learning.  We also require cognitive testing for all 2-8 applicants.

STEP THREE

Student Classroom Visit

After the application submission, your child is invited to spend a full day in the classroom with current Mack Boulder students. Students experience Mackintosh Academy Boulder’s exceptional learning environment first hand, and our teachers learn more about your child and their potential fit at Mack Boulder.

GOOD NEWS!

If you answered “yes” to several of these questions, your child might be a Mack kid. Although the traits above are often seen in gifted children, not all gifted children exhibit all of them all of the time. We encourage you to reach out to find out more about who we are and what we do. We are always happy to hear from new families with cool kids!
