Tuition and Affordability

The Value of a Mack Boulder Education

Mackintosh Academy – Boulder nurtures the keen minds and compassionate hearts of the gifted child in a responsive and caring community of learners. The benefits of a Mack Boulder education include:

  • Low student/teacher ratios in a friendly, engaging, and nurturing environment.
  • Two teachers in every K-8 homeroom.
  • Full-time gifted program that addresses children’s wide range of needs, passions, and abilities.
  • Accredited PYP (K-5) and MYP (6-8) IB Programmes where units of inquiry inspire deep, transdisciplinary understanding.
  • A whole-child focus that encourages the development of emotional intelligence, self-regulation and communication skills, as well as academic skills.
  • A hands-on approach to learning and problem solving that bolsters creativity and innovation.
  • Stunning campus and facilities with home-like interior learning spaces, and ten outdoor learning outposts (classrooms) nestled among our 23-acres.
  • Ultimately, our students mature into confident, healthy human beings inspired to contribute to a world that needs them. Our students love to learn, and learn to leave their mark.

Tuition, Aid, and Affordability

The lifelong benefits of an education that sparks the intellect, nurtures social-emotional growth, and teaches students to put knowledge into action are hard to quantify. While tuition at Mackintosh Academy is below the national average for independent schools, we understand that affording an independent school education requires a significant commitment for families. Access to our education and socioeconomic diversity are important to us, and we offer tuition assistance to as many qualified families as possible. Please view the Tuition Assistance Page for more detailed information.

Please contact our Admissions Director, Jenny Strode, with any questions regarding how to apply for tuition assistance.

Please note:

  • Tuition includes all curriculum supplies/books.
  • Field trips including fall and spring extended or overnight trips are included in tuition.
  • School supplies are a separate expense provided by parents.
  • Students in grades 5-8 are required to have their own laptop computer.

Tuition Schedule

We use Smart Tuition for tuition payments. Tuition may be paid in full, quarterly, or in nine monthly equal payments. Please email our Director of Finance, Jess Dauchy, with any questions about Boulder tuition payments.
