The 3rd grade “Macktopia Holiday Charity Market” was a big success! As part of their “How We Organize Ourselves” unit, 3rd graders built a community and applied for employment. They then designed company names and goal statements, conducted product market research, constructed product prototypes, and collaborated to create the live charity market, earning about $400! Students are now learning how to write persuasive letters in order to assist the class in selecting a charity to donate their collective earnings.
