Did you know the female dogfish shark’s reproductive organs are near its head? Did you know the position and layout of the organs found in a frog are very similar to a human? Did you know that squid have three hearts? Our 6th graders know this and more! In Science, students are dissecting sharks, frogs and squid to improve their dissection and observation skills. They are identifying major external and internal features of the anatomies to understand form and function and gain a better understanding of vertebrate and fish anatomy.
