Why are snow leopards unable to roar? Just ask one of our Kindergarten Junior Rangers, who are experts on animal adaptations and environments! During their Unit of Inquiry on Sharing the Planet, each student chose an animal to study. They explored the special adaptations their animal has that help them to survive. Kindergartners created models of their animal’s natural habitat, as well as non-fiction books for their writing unit. They practiced presenting their findings and models to 4th-grade buddies and then invited parents to attend a “Ranger Roundup”, a special exhibition to view their work and ask questions. It was a wild time for all!
