When 2nd grade ended their poetry unit before winter break, each student chose an original poem they wrote to submit to the Creative Communication National Poetry Competition. Thousands of poems are submitted, but only about 40% of them are accepted for publication. EVERY SINGLE POEM written by our 2nd graders was selected for publication! Wowza!! The organization even sent our 2nd grade teachers, Jenny and Ben, an email to say how unusual that is and to congratulate our class! Bravo poets!
